doctoremmet The feelings you are referring to in this song are very familiar. The music of this new single for some reason reminds me a bit of Echo & The Bunnymen. That’s a good thing! ;-) Love this one. Favorite track: Bodies of Concrete.

about

The song is about feeling smaller than the rest of the world, looking for recognition and not finding it in what is referred to as "Bodies of Concrete". Basically feeling smaller than the world around us and begging it to choose us, because we give everything of ourselves to try and do a good thing.

In these troubled times, it's good to be reminded that we have the strength to fight these bodies of concrete, those gatekeepers that prevent us from going further.

lyrics

Your faith is a building that's burning with inaccuracy
The flames are blue, cold and their shape incomplete
You stand there waiting for the windows to share their side of the story
For some, the world is an empire not founded on words of integrity

Choose me, I'm the first who arrived on the scene
Choose me, it'd be an honour to get your esteem

Be on the lookout for their bodies of concrete
Cimenting your thoughts with sovereignty
You cannot live by someone's decree
Limestoned in the walls of their library

Choose me, I'm the first who arrived on the scene
Choose me, it'd be an honour to get your esteem

Reinforced, your heart is steel
Low corrosion of your bloodstream

Choose me, I'm the first who arrived on the scene
Choose me, it'd be an honour to get your esteem

Have mercy, it'd be an honour.
It'd be an honour

Choose me, I'm the first who arrived on the scene, oh yeah,
Choose me, it'd be an honour to get your esteem

Choose me, I'm the first who arrived on the scene, oh yeah,
Choose me, it'd be an honour to get your esteem
